Thursday, July 30 - Brian and Julie Beaty of Orchard Lake will host the first of our new Beacon of Hope – Lighting the Way, House by House parties. The Beatys have planned an evening of friends, fun and flavor, with musical entertainment provided by Brian VanderArk of the Verve Pipe. Monday, August 3 – Golfers will tee up for a noon shot-gun start at this year’s Shield’s Golf Outing to be played at Twin Lakes Golf Club, 455 Twin Lakes Drive, Oakland Township. Participants will round the day off with dinner at Shield’s of Troy. The annual event benefits Lighthouse food pantry programs. August 22 - October 4 – Enjoy the Renaissance Festival and fill the Lighthouse food pantry at the same time. During the first three weekends of the festival, patrons who buy one ticket to the festival can get another free by donating three canned food items. All donated food will be used to stock Lighthouse pantry shelves. More than 100 golfers, on behalf of Lighthouse, will take to the greens of the beautiful Boulder Pointe Golf Course, 1 Champions Drive, Oxford.
