Thanksgiving Program

It’s hard to believe our summer has come to an end and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. While many of us look forward to spending time with our families and sharing a warm Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings, many others in Oakland County struggle to provide their families with the basic necessities of food and shelter.

These families are not strangers. They are our neighbors. Their children go to school with our children. They may be family members or friends. They also share the challenge of added holiday expenses during this time of year.

Unfortunately, the holiday season can be a burden to those already struggling to make ends meet. With your help, the Lighthouse Thanksgiving Program will provide local families with a turkey and all of the trimmings to prepare Thanksgiving dinner in their own home. Last year, Lighthouse provided nearly 1,200 families with Thanksgiving food baskets thanks to the support of donors like you!

Donate to our Thanksgiving Program - your donation will be used to help purchase food for our Thanksgiving program to fill baskets for families and help fill the shelves in our pantry throughout the year.

$25    feeds four low-income seniors a hearty Thanksgiving meal.
$50    provides three turkeys for families to enjoy during the holidays.
$100    purchases a four day supply of food for six people.
$250    will buy 90 jars of peanut butter, ensuring that children get a quality lunch in the new year.
$500    provides 70 Thanksgiving meals for local families in need.

Thank you for helping Lighthouse feed our neighbors in need.
