Lighthouse Holiday Giving Program
You can participate in the 2009 Lighthouse Holiday Program in the following ways:
Holiday Help
- Directly help a family (or individual) in need.
- Shorter wish lists than our adopt-a-family program.
- Purchase one priority item for each member of the family. (ex. a coat, jeans, school supplies, blanket, maybe what Mom really needs for the household is a microwave that works… etc.).
- If resources allow, we ask you to consider purchasing the child/ teen’s toy request.
- Households range in size from 1 to 12.
- Smaller financial commitment but still a big impact.
Holiday Donor Form
Adopt-a-Family
- Directly help a family (or individual) in need.
- Families in the program are identified as having more significant needs.
- We typically work with these families on a year-round basis.
- You’ll be provided with a wish list with multiple gift options, family member’s clothing sizes, ages, and any special needs.
- Our philosophy with this program is to provide more than a seasonal gift but rather to provide items that can help the family throughout the upcoming year.
- Great option for office or church groups that want to help someone together
Holiday Donor Form
Financial Sponsorship
- First, allows us to purchase gifts those that are not adopted.
- Second, allows us to offer the program by covering expenses.
- After gifts are purchased for all clients and program bills are paid, remaining donations are used for the Good Neighbor Fund. 100% of the money in the Good Neighbor Fund is used directly for client aid throughout the year.
- Allows you to help if you don’t like to shop, or don’t have time.
- Please make your check payable to Lighthouse Emergency Services with “Holiday” on the memo line.

General Donations
- On an average year, 100 families come to us without a home, nor the item to put into a home once they find one. The reasons for this are many; chronic homelessness, fire, domestic violence are only a few.
- Another way to help this Holiday season is to organize a drive for the items we need for those families. New House wares, sheets & blankets, school supplies, socks & underwear, cleaning supplies and diapers are some of the many items we need.
