
Jane E. McNamara is president and chief executive officer of GreenPath, Inc. GreenPath is a national not-for-profit organization that provides consumers with counseling and education on financial literacy topics.
McNamara’s experience includes over 25 years in executive leadership, strategic planning, financial management, performance and quality improvement, one-on-one counseling, and as spokesperson for the company.
A graduate of Michigan State University, McNamara earned her bachelor’s degree in consumer services. Her master’s degree in family economics and management, with a specialty in family financial counseling, is also from Michigan State. She currently serves on the boards of Hospice of Michigan, Lighthouse Emergency Services of Oakland County, Detroit Area Agency on Aging and the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. McNamara is past president of the Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business, a national consumer affairs’ organization, along with being past president of its Great Lakes Chapter. She has received numerous honors including the Philip A. Hart Award for her outstanding work in the education and counseling of consumers.
