Lighthouse Emergency Services - Executive Director
Tom Stowell has been the Executive Director for Lighthouse Emergency Services for three years, and prior to that, he served as the Chief Operations Officer for Lighthouse of Oakland County for seventeen years. Mr. Stowell earned a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from Michigan State University and has the responsibility for day to day operations for Lighthouse Emergency Services. Mr. Stowell serves on the Oakland county Task Force on Homelessness and Affordable Housing Executive Committee as well as representing Lighthouse of Oakland County Human Services Coordinating Council. Mr. Stowell has an extensive history of community involvement, having served on the Ortonville Village Council and the Brandon Library Board. At the present time, Mr. Stowell is a Trustee on the Brandon Township Board and he is President of the Ortonville Community Historical Society. William L. Johnson is Vice President for Finance and Administration at Marygrove College in Detroit. Johnson came to Marygrove from DTE Energy where he had most recently been director of Strategic Development. Other positions included director and controller for Detroit Edison, and director and controller for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company (a DTE Energy subsidiary).
Prior to joining DTE, he spent a year as vice president for Business & Finance at the University of Detroit Mercy. His professional experience also includes chief financial officer for Focus: Hope; senior vice president, financial administration, for ANR Pipeline Company; and controller for Great Lakes Gas Transmission Company. Johnson holds a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College. He is a former certified public accountant with the State of Michigan.
