Accomplishments - during the fiscal year 2004-2005:

  • 21,951 people were provided with emergency food
  • 13,799 persons received household and personals assistance such as
    soap and hygiene products
  • 18,753 case management services were provided
  • 2,487 housing services were provided to prevent homelessness
  • 12,077 services were provided to seniors and disabled persons to help
    them stay independent in their own homes
  • 4,170 persons received a nutritious Thanksgiving meal
  • 4,057 persons received Christmas food and gifts
  • 800 children were provided with Easter baskets
  • 134 CMH Path/Shelter Plus Care
  • 57,750 dedicated hours of services were provided by Lighthouse Emergency Services volunteers.
  • Over 72,811 services were provided by volunteers and staff of Lighthouse Emergency Services for low/limited income seniors and families, near- homeless families, infants, children and youth in the Oakland County community.

Mission Statement
Lighthouse Emergency Services serves families and individuals in need by providing emergency assistance and promoting self sufficiency. We deliver these services with the support of volunteers and our friends in the community. Together, with Lighthouse of Oakland County, Inc. and its subsidiaries, we can provide an effective continuum of services.
